Our NS brothers (and sisters of course, we haven’t forgotten about you J) have certainly increased recently haven’t they? Our reporters went round to dig out the insides of the NS group’s 100th people milestone! Let’s find out how they have managed to grow so much!

What’s your vision/conviction?
I transferred over to NS group in 2007.My vision for the NS group remains pretty much the same ever since I don the GREEN uniform and I feel most of the NS leaders would attest to that : To see a CG in every camp in Singapore.
How do you evangelize in spite of your tight schedule?
During NS term, it is very much of lifestyle evangelism. You need to show your buddies your concern for them even if it means giving the last gulp of water in your bottle when your buddy needs it badly. I was very thankful for the privilege given by God to be an Instructor in the Artillery.
Given your regime, how do you manage to have shepherding sessions?
Given our availability, I had to meet most of my guys on weekends. So usually, I’d arrange to meet my guys a week in advance so that when I know they can’t meet me, I can plan to meet others.
What do you think NS men should be/can do in the KOG?
I seriously believe that all NS guys should or can outlive the Will of God, and bring that spirit back to their camp so that our non-believing friends could be touched by the spirit of God. Lastly, I would like to part with this verse: (Colossians 3:23-24)

What’s your vision/conviction?
I think NS is a nurturing ground where men can mature through real hard times in a rough & tough environment. In NS ministry, We are convicted to bring them to know Christ who will ease/assist them through the NS term.
How do you evangelize in spite of your tight schedule?
I have served two years in NS & 1.5 years in church. I have seen colleagues who have difficulty blending in, some with relationship problems & others unable to accept the working style of the organization. Many times I find myself depending on God to offer them advice & they were often amazed by my advice. Let others judge you, for they are being judged by others too.
Given your regime, how do you manage to have shepherding sessions?
Shepherding has been a challenge due to the nature of my work. But I always schedule it before service while my guys are relaxing at Starbucks. It can be quite random.
What do you think NS men should be/can do in the KOG?
I would like to share this verse from 1 Corinthians 13:3 If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrifice my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. I can influence someone deeper if I’m not afraid to lose more of myself for Him.

What’s your vision/conviction?
My Vision is for the NS ministry to be the platform to see a Revival in Church MANHOOD, that all the guys will rise up for the call to be leaders and most importantly, biblical.
How do you evangelize in spite of your tight schedule?
Being an ORD personal, I do not have any contacts that are in army. Therefore I sow on my adult contacts and bring them to know Christ through the adult service.
Given your regime, how do you manage to have shepherding sessions?
I meet my sheep (those yet to enlist and those working) on weekdays after work, and for those who are enlisted, I meet them on Saturday. I spend every Monday planning for my sheep.
What do you think NS men should be/can do in the KOG?
NS time is the best time to live a Christian life because of the test and challenges. This is when you persevere and shine for Christ. Also, when non-believers in the military camp want to ‘chao keng’ or avoid the tedious jobs, we can take the initiative to lead and make a difference. The environment in NS as well as the time spent with each other are actually opportunities to share Christ, to minister to the weak and to lead by example.
